Characterized by the feather-like erect branches. The pinnately arranged pinnules (ramuli) are cylindrical with a mucronate tip. Erect branches up to 12 cm in height (Ref. 80758).
Used for human consumption as food and medicine: antifungal, lowers blood pressure; source of sitosterol, caulerpin, and caulerpicin, palmitic acid (Ref. 80758).
