Short description Morphology

Shell is elongate and easily recognized due to its spiral sculpture. Columellar lip is smooth, while outer lip can either be grooved when thin, or smooth when thickened. Operculum thin and horny, having concentric rings. Shell is yellowish-brown but other regions turn black through time.

Known from mangroves in Hong Kong (Ref. 112938). Found in sediments with high content of silt and clay (Ref. 124802).
