Western Atlantic and Southeast Pacific: Noctilio leporinus mastivus: Mexico, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Cuba, Jamaica, Hispaniola (Dominican Rep), Puerto Rico, many islands in the Lesser Antilles; Noctilio leporinus leporinus: Ecuador, Peru, northern Brazil, Guiana, south throughout the Amazon basin; Noctilio leporinus rufescens: eastern Bolivia, Paraguay, southern Brazil, south to northeast Argentina (Ref. 1522).
