Found from upper tidal level and above (Ref. 75835). In Hong Kong, a few individuals were reported to be infested by the larval trematodes Cercaria minus and Cercaria hezuiensis (Ref. 125885).

Members of the order Neotaenioglossa are mostly gonochoric and broadcast spawners. Life cycle: Embryos develop into planktonic trocophore larvae and later into juvenile veligers before becoming fully grown adults.
