Comments | From Cebu City, Philippines. Educational background was in St. Theresa's College during the elementary and secondary degree and finished a Bachelor degree Major in Biology in Velez College, Cebu. Participated in Panglao Marine Biodiversity Project in 2004 together with more than 50 scientists worldwide. With this expedition I worked in close collaboration with major malacologists such as Philippe Bouchet from Paris Museum, Yuri Kantor from Museum of Russia, Anders Warens from Museum of Sweden, Rudo von Cosel from Paris Museum and many more….I was assigned to photograph thousands of organisms for the MNHN, Paris. In the later years, I became interested in groups like Costellariids, Mitrids, Trochacean gastropods where I published several articles in collaboration with my lifetime partner Guido T. Poppe of which I thank also for the development of my interest for shells and the love for the sea. Together we both published a book called Philippine Marine Mollusks Volumes 1-4 wherein we document the shell discoveries of the Philippine fauna. | |
