Hong Kong is located in Eastern Asia, bordering the South China Sea and China. Area comparatively six times the size of Washington, DC. Total land boundary is 30 km, border country China 30 km.
Hong Kong has a tropical monsoon climate; cool and humid in winter, hot and rainy from spring through summer, warm and sunny in fall . Terrain consists of hilly to mountainous with steep slopes; lowlands in north. Elevation extreme has the lowest point in South China Sea 0 m and
highest point in Tai Mo Shan 958 m. Natural resources are the outstanding deepwater harbor and feldspar. Land use: arable land: 6%, permanent crops: 1%, permanent pastures: 1%
