Anguilla is an island in the Caribbean Sea, east of Puerto Rico. Area comparatively about half the size of Washington, DC.
Climate is tropical; moderated by northeast trade winds. Terrain consists of flat and low-lying island of coral and limestone. Elevation extreme has the lowest point in the Caribbean Sea 0 m and highest point in Crocus Hill 65 m. Natural resources are salt, fish, lobster. Natural hazards are frequent hurricanes and other tropical storms (July to October).
Environment—current issues: supplies of potable water sometimes cannot meet increasing demand largely because of poor distribution system.
