It has lengths of 20 cm, total body length; 7.5 to 10 cm, carapace length (Ref. 4). Found in sandy substrates, mud, gravel, rock and calcareous algae (Ref. 106834). Nocturnal. Feeds mainly on bivalves at night (Ref. 98471).
