Comments: Introduced in Tasmania for aquaculture (Ref. 348). Intentionally introduced to western Australia and Tasmania in 1947, western Australia introduction was not successful. Subsequent introduction to Victoria in 1953 and it has now spread to New South Wales and southern Queensland (Ref. 76803).
