Comments: Reported as Trichechus manatus latirostris from Florida Bay north to the mouth of the Suwannee River on the west coast to its confluence with the Santa Fe River, St. Johns River upstream to Blue Springs, and the Caloosahatchee River upstream into Lake Okeechobee. They appear to be vagrants in Florida than residents.
