Definition of Term

continuous
(English) Unbroken, not interrupted; usually referring to the dorsal fin in which the spinous part is joined to the soft-rayed part with no gap or notch between the two; also refers to an unbroken lateral line scale series. (See also: contiguous, dorsal fin, lateral line)

(French) Non cassé, non interrompu; ce qui habituellement fait référence à la nageoire dorsale ou la partie épineuse est jointe à la partie du rayon doux sans intervalle ou encoche entre les deux; ce qui aussi fait référence à une série d'écaille non interrompue de la ligne latérale.
