Medium-sized cirrate octopods having gelatinous body, conspicuous well-developed eyes, secondary web and U-shaped shell. Relatively long arms (70 to 90% of total length); long cirri, not reaching arm tips. Mantle aperture narrow in fresh specimens and reduced to small opening in preserved specimens. Fins lateral, fin width almost equal to head width. Radula absent (Ref. 1978). This family contains a single genus and two species (Ref. 96968).
