						A small species, not growing more than 1 cm long. It has a flat oval body, with soft scales (elytra) covering the dorsal leaving the middle part elytra-free, usually 40-60 in number, and show concentric rings with rusty brown speckles. The head has four eyes and one median antenna. Its color ranges from colorless, flesh, greenish to black.					
				
				
						
			
			
			
			
				
					A small bristle worm, usually not exceeding 10 mm in length.  It has a flat oval body that is covered with 40-60 soft scales called elytra on the dorsal side (Ref. 2778). Found along the near-coastal zone, often in fine-grained to muddy sediment (Refs. 7882, 96352), also associated with organic pollutants (Ref. 96352).   Feeds on organic material from the sediment (Ref. 2778).  A predator (Ref. 96501)/carnivore-scavenger (Ref. 96352).
