A small species, not growing more than 1 cm long. It has a flat oval body, with soft scales (elytra) covering the dorsal leaving the middle part elytra-free, usually 40-60 in number, and show concentric rings with rusty brown speckles. The head has four eyes and one median antenna. Its color ranges from colorless, flesh, greenish to black.
A small bristle worm, usually not exceeding 10 mm in length. It has a flat oval body that is covered with 40-60 soft scales called elytra on the dorsal side (Ref. 2778).
