This species is found in offshore and intertidal coral reefs, bays and coves, and coastal lagoons, particularly on algae, boulder, coral, gravel, rock, rubble, sand and shell habitats (Ref. 83934).

Members of the order Neotaenioglossa are mostly gonochoric and broadcast spawners. Life cycle: Embryos develop into planktonic trocophore larvae and later into juvenile veligers before becoming fully grown adults.
