Ovoviviparous, parental brooders; fertilization occurs in the mantle cavity (Ref. 93769). It shows simultaneous and sequential hermaphroditism (protandry) (Ref. 105045). Life cycle: Embryos develop into larvae and released from the mantle cavity as miniature adults which takes 17-18 months (Refs. 833, 93769).
