Mid-dorsal spines present on segments 6, 8 and 10; uniformly increasing in length posteriorly. Lateral spines on segments 4, 7 to 11 with glands at the L-4 base. Lateral accessory sponge adjacent to L-10 dorsally; lateral terminal spines short and stubby, 36 to 45 um.
Inhabits coarse coralligenous sand (Ref. 1395). Collected from fine calcareous sand with detritus (Ref. 1409).
