Diagnosis | Pale brown. Adherent base with cylindrical body. Thick body-wall with subcuticular layer of mesogloea that connects with the general mesogloea by strands crossing the ectoderm. The thick mesogloea contains many lacunae and cell-islets. Well-developed endoderm with large endodermal and ectodermal bays. Mesogloeal sphincter is very strong, surrounded with fibrous-looking mesogloea different from the rest of the body-wall. Closely lined cells present in the cavities (Ref. 89044). |
