Diagnosis | Slightly tapered trunk starting with segment 7. Long terminal spines, usually perpendicular to trunk upon fixation, with recurved tips defined by transverse mark about 3/4 from base. Mid-dorsal spinous processes present at the posterior tergal margins. Denticulate first trunk segment of tergal plate anterior margin. Lateral setae alternately present starting with segment 4. Males lack adhesive tubes and mid-dorsal setae, but with 2 pairs of penile spines at anterolateral margins of terminal sternal plates and slightly smaller and different shape of penultimate segment (Ref. 1409). |
