Diagnosis | Hydrorhiza: tubular, rather contorted, reptant on substrate. Stems: simple; proximal part and stolon at same diameter; basal part with 2 to 4 broad indefinite annulations and sympodial thereafter. Internodes: long, smooth, tubular, becoming shorter along stem, widening distally to below hydrotheca. Nodes: usually with 1 or 2 deep, oblique constrictions, nearly parallel with adcauline hydrothecal wall. Perisarc above node with a slight tumescene, sometimes with 1 or 2 additional constrictions along internode. |
