Inhabits muddy, sandy and rocky bottoms (Ref. 125090). Epifauna on vegetated substrates (Cymodocea nodosa), feeding on microalgae at depths between 10 and 14 m in different seasons (Ref. 124743).

Members of the order Neotaenioglossa are mostly gonochoric and broadcast spawners. Life cycle: Embryos develop into planktonic trocophore larvae and later into juvenile veligers before becoming fully grown adults.
