It is found on sandy bottoms and silt with shell fragments at depths of 2 to 100 m (Ref. 87801). Carnivorous (Ref. 92798).

Egg masses are composed of 3n8 to 112 egg capsules where 325 and 733 embryos develop in the interior of the egg capsule and emerges as planktotrophic larvae. The capsules are attached to hard substrates.
