Shell is moderately sized; stocky, heavy, with 7 to 8 whorls. Two rows of thick, brown, spiral nodules occur on the upper whorls; with five on the body whorl. Numerous fine spiral striae occur on each whorl. Outer lip straight, siphonal cana short, and the columella is smooth. Shell is light brown, with the nodules being darker and the fine striate whitish. Operculum is brown and horny.
