Found inhabiting mainly the red algae Phyllophora sp. and to a lesser extent Delesseria sp. in the Øresund, and the red algae Chondrus crispus and Mastocarpus stellatus on the Isle of Wight and in Roscoff (Ref. 124716).

Members of the order Neotaenioglossa are mostly gonochoric and broadcast spawners. Life cycle: Embryos develop into planktonic trocophore larvae and later into juvenile veligers before becoming fully grown adults.
