Morphologie
Central disk 1.5 cm wide, marginal zone 0.7 to 0.8 cm broad, including lappets; 12 lappets, longer than broad, rounded at the tip, base of stomach asymmetrical, stomach four-sided; six gonads having two interradial and four adradial; six long tentacles without terminal knobs; six rophalia. Colorless.

Members of the class Scyphozoa are gonochoric. Life cycle: Egg is laid by the adult medusa which later develops into a free-living planula, then to a scyphistoma to a strobila, and lastly to a free-living young medusa.
