						Broadly ovate.  Valve Color:  white, light straw-yellow or pale brown. 					Members of the class Polyplacophora are mostly gonochoric.  Life cycle:  Eggs hatch into lecitotrophic planktonic trocophore larvae (no veliger stage) which later metamorphose and settle on the bottom as young adults.
