In intertidal mud, commensal with (probably) Discapseudes sp. (Tanaidae). Found in sediments with high content of silt and clay. Can also be found in coarser substrate composed of sand and gravel (Ref. 124802).

Members of the class Bivalvia are mostly gonochoric, some are protandric hermaphrodites. Life cycle: Embryos develop into free-swimming trocophore larvae, succeeded by the bivalve veliger, resembling a miniature clam.
