Northwest Pacific: known from coastal waters of Hokkaido and in Far Eastern seas of Russia, it is found in coastal waters of southern and middle Primorè, Kunashir Island, and in Aniva Bay; also found in Peter the Great Bay.

Settles in shallows not deeper than 5 m, under stones among bryozoans and calcareous algae (Ref. 410).
