This species has relatively long siphons for the genus, and can therefore burrow to a depth of approximately 8 cm (Ref. 348). Intertidal, on sand (Ref. 75840). Also found in mangrove areas (Ref. 128397).

Members of the class Bivalvia are mostly gonochoric, some are protandric hermaphrodites. Life cycle: Embryos develop into free-swimming trocophore larvae, succeeded by the bivalve veliger, resembling a miniature clam.
