Characterized by possessing a fairly stout, acutely conical, glossy, smooth shell, occasionally with some axial riblets on the early postnuclear whorls. The thickened outer lip bears three denticles on the lower half.
Found offshore among echinoderms (Ref. 130068).

Members of the order Neotaenioglossa are mostly gonochoric and broadcast spawners. Life cycle: Embryos develop into planktonic trocophore larvae and later into juvenile veligers before becoming fully grown adults.
